Major system upgrades

Using an in-house developed process for installing new replacement backplates into existing control panels, we can take care of every stage of your major system upgrades from the design and pre-assembly through to the manufacture and testing – all managed at our facility.

The solution is then transported to your site for installation into your existing control panel. This approach minimises cost and downtime on site and as only the relevant parts of the system are replaced, you gain significant cost savings, compared to replacing an entire panel.

In addition to working on our own control panels, we also work on panels manufactured by other companies.

Is it better to upgrade or replace an existing control panel? ＋

Upgrading may be more cost-effective when the enclosure and parts of the existing system remain suitable, while replacement may be preferable where equipment is obsolete or the requirements have changed considerably. Bensons can assess the existing panel, required functionality, downtime constraints and future needs before recommending whether modification or replacement is appropriate.

Can Bensons modify control panels made by another manufacturer? ＋

Yes. Bensons can modify and upgrade control panels originally produced by other manufacturers, as well as panels it has previously built. The work can range from replacing individual components to completing a more extensive retrofit or system upgrade. The existing panel and project requirements will be assessed before the most suitable approach is recommended.
