Definition Phase
Each project begins with the Definition phase, where our team of estimators collaborates with the customer to precisely understand their needs. This involves working from a variety of customer-provided inputs, ranging from sketches to detailed specifications. Our experience allows us to distill this information into high-level requirements for further development.
During this initial phase of the customer journey, we:
- Collaboratively work through customer requirements to ensure a common understanding.
- Adjust and refine initial requests based on collaborative discussions.
- Develop a cost estimate for implementing customer requirements in a bottom-up fashion.
- Utilise an in-house estimating package for accurate cost breakdowns and manufacturing time.
- Incorporate lessons learned from past projects with the same customer to enhance our proposals.
We follow a standard, proven recipe of parts from high-quality equipment suppliers, providing confidence in both the quoted price and the solution's quality. In case of non-standard components, we ensure robust estimates from suppliers are incorporated into proposals, again giving you the customer peace of mind that the price you are quoted is the price that you pay.
The collaborative nature extends beyond the customer, involving internal collaboration between our estimating, design, and manufacturing teams. This ensures that proposed solutions align with the high standards expected by our customers.
Conclusion
At the conclusion of this collaborative effort, the customer receives a detailed proposal. This proposal, tailored to their requirements, outlines what is included in the price, what is excluded, and provides clarity on how to proceed together. This comprehensive proposal empowers the customer to make a fully informed purchasing decision.
