At our core, Bensons is a team of problems solvers, who work closely with customers to resolve their system control challenges by designing and building high-quality electrical control panels. We do this across a range of different industry sectors.

Over the years, the sectors that Bensons works in have evolved as we have sought to evolve grow with our existing customer base, and also to cultivate opportunities in new sectors.

Essential to this success is understanding the requirements and characteristics of the different sectors our customers operate in, this in turn enables us to be aware of the challenges that they face and how we can help to solve them. A benefit to this is that solutions in one sector can often be applied in others, again helping our customers to progress.

So how do we know what is happening in each sector and develop the insight that our customers value?

There is much which can be learned from desk-based research, which has evolved massively even over the past couple of year which the development of AI based search (you can even believe it sometimes…). However, a key element is getting out there and talking to people, which is where attending industry shows is important. To that end, we are attending two key shows in March to further our understanding and also meet with existing and potential partners.

Data Centre world – 4 & 5th March

Data Centre World takes place in London’s Excel Centre on 4th and 5th March, it brings together many of the senior leaders and decision makers in the sector, together with a the full end to end supply chain.

In an industry which is seeing significant growth and investment, primarily as a result of AI growth, increasing our insight into the increasingly important part that sustainability, automation and control philosophies is vital. This show brings together a rich collection of keynote speakers which can give early insight into where investments are being targeted, which in turn provides companies like Bensons with the ability to fine tune our proposition today, and target the capability development that we need to build for the future.

Sustainability, energy efficiency, data acquisition and modular design are all key drivers in this sector, we look forward to developing greater insight and providing this to our customers on forthcoming projects to enhance both their, and our propositions.

Distributed Energy Show – 11 & 12 March

This show has grown significantly over the years, as the importance and value of distributed energy to the UK energy system has grown. Bensons has decades of experience in this sector, primarily through working with CHP solution providers. However, over recent years the nature of solutions in this sector has evolved rapidly in parallel with the increasing importance of sustainability and the maturation of low carbon technologies such as Battery  Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar PV.

With knowledge gained through working on projects with start-ups and established OEMs, Bensons is well placed to continue to develop and deliver the advanced control panel solutions needed to fully exploit the various technologies in this sector.
