Experts in Swimming Pool Control Panels

Our expertise encompasses not only the filtration of pool water, but also the control of moving floor systems and wave machines. That history means our control panels are now working quietly in the background at hundreds of sites, in over 30 countries, helping operators deliver safe, enjoyable and reliable experiences for their visitors.

Long-term involvement in swimming pools

Our work in this sector began in the 1970s, when we started developing systems to improve the energy efficiency of pools around the UK. Since then, we’ve delivered over three hundred swimming pool projects, covering both new builds and complex refurbishments.

Working alongside specialist contractors, we have developed a reputation for our in-depth understanding of the many consultant specifications that are used in the sector, and our ability to translate them into highly optimised and compliant design solutions. We have successfully designed and built control solutions for private clients through large resort-style developments such as Center Parcs Longford. On that project, for example, we supported FT Leisure with a suite of networked PLC control panels managing multiple pools and features from a compact plantroom footprint.

Advanced control at the heart of modern pools

Modern swimming pools are technically demanding environments, with tight expectations regarding safety, comfort, sustainability and running costs. Advanced control systems – typically PLC-based – now sit at the heart of many installations, coordinating filtration, chemical dosing, UV treatment, regularly using variable speed drives to control pumps and optimise both performance and energy consumption. In addition, our solutions integrate heating, lighting, water flumes and other project-specific features.

By monitoring key parameters and automating sequences, these systems help maintain water clarity, support stable temperatures and reduce unnecessary energy and chemical use, all while easing the workload on on‑site teams. Clear, well-thought‑out operator interfaces and alarm functions then make it easier to see what is happening and to act quickly if something needs attention.

Why panel quality really matters

Behind every successful control strategy is a well-designed, well-built control panel. Good electrical design, appropriate component selection and robust build standards mean panels that are safer, easier to maintain and more dependable in demanding pool plant environments.

For pool and leisure operators, that translates directly into fewer unplanned stoppages, smoother commissioning and a longer, more reliable service life from their investment.

As the industry looks ahead to SPATEX and beyond, our focus remains on combining that long-standing sector experience with high-quality control panels and advanced control solutions that give customers confidence their systems will work first time – and keep working for years to come.
