Bensons Collaboration Efforts

Our collaboration with customers can take various forms, but is often based on exploiting and sharing our insight and expertise.

In the late summer of 2024, this sharing of insight took the form of hosting Yassin, a first year apprentice at Johnson Controls, for a four week placement at Bensons factory in West Yorkshire.

The aim of the placement was to provide Yassin with the skills and knowledge to allow him to safely and precisely carry out control panels upgrades on site.

During his time at Bensons, Yassin worked closely with Bensons apprentices and also with some of our highly experienced team members. He was rotated around different teams to gain exposure to all the core skills associated with control panel manufacture. Yassin's final week was spent in our test department to knit the knowledge gained together and to learn how to work safely with electrically live equipment.

Having Yassin on-site provided Bensons with the opportunity to learn more about the challenges that Johnson Controls faces on-site. Hopefully the experience gained from his placement will assist Yassin to resolve these challenges in collaboration with Bensons.
