To install a new steel processing line to sit alongside an existing tyre recycling line
The company needed to locate a new supplier of control panels that they could trust in order to design and build not just the control panel, but also develop a complex PLC programme to integrate the operation of several large pieces of automation equipment.
The Solution
Working with an existing partner – CBM-Logix to provide a successful integrated solution
Working together Bensons and CBM-Logix developed, refined and agreed a Functional Design System (FDS) to clearly document all operational requirements for the system.
As safety was key, considerable attention was given to the safety interlocks to eliminate the risk to people or equipment during operation. All this was tested on site at Bensons prior to delivery.

A complex technical solution developed by a strong partnership, tested and thoroughly de-bugged prior to delivery. A 4G modem allows remote software upgrades without the need to send engineers to site, providing a cost effective solution.
